NEC Display Solutions of America has announced the 65-inch EG51-T display for educators.

The display is designed with a 10-point integrated infrared touchscreen to reduce costs, according to a press release. It also features anti-glare tempered glass to protect against damage and fingerprinting.

The unit also comes with a built-in media player, which can be prioritized over content from a USB. Other features include:

  • 140 watt power consumption and 400 cd/m2 brightness;
  • backlighting;
  • 3.4-inch overall depth;
  • HDMI and VGA inputs;
  • integrated 10W x 2 speakers; and
  • 24-hour scheduler.

"NEC Display has lowered the price point at which schools can take advantage of a rugged, interactive 65-inch solution," Kevin Christopherson, director of product marketing at NEC Display, said in the release. "The lightweight E651-T display can be mounted on a wall, on a cart or in a huddle space. Its mission is to energize the blended learning needs of today’s classrooms and foster a more productive learning environment; we are proud to help educators meet these goals."
