Museum kiosks to feature famous baby boomers

Interactive kiosks will showcase an upcoming photography exhibit at Washington, D.C.'s Newseum Museum starting Sept. 26.

Interactive kiosks will showcase an upcoming photography exhibit at Washington, D.C.'s Newseum Museum starting Sep. 26. 

The show will feature work from award-winning photographer and filmmaker Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, a release said. Greenfield-Sanders's exhibit, "The Boomer List," will display 19 portraits of famous or influential baby boomers, one for each year of the generation from 1946 to 1964. His work will express which boomers he thinks represent depth, diversity and talent.

Some of the famous boomer portraits included are:

• Actor Samuel Jackson, representing year 1948;
• Singer/songwriter Billy Joel, for 1949;
• Apple Computer cofounder Steve Wozniak, for 1950;
• Fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger, for 1951;
• Author Amy Tan, for 1952;
• Journalist Maria Shriver, for 1955;
• Environmentalist Erin Brockovich, for 1960; and
• Entertainer Rosie O'Donnell, for 1962.

Kiosks will allow users to view "behind-the-scenes images of Greenfield-Sanders's photo shoots," the release said.

The exhibit is accompanying Greenfield-Sanders's upcoming American Masters documentary "The Boomer List" set to air on PBS Sept. 23.
