Metro Transit, Intersection sign DOOH contract

Metro Transit, Intersection sign DOOH contractProvided by Intersection, Metro Transit.

Metro Transit has signed a five-year contract with Intersection, an experience-based OOH company, to expand analog and digital OOH advertising on Minneapolis and St. Paul bus and rail networks, according to a press release.

The deal will introduce digital signage to 30 of the district's 150 bus shelter locations within the next year, mixing advertising content with Metro Transit transportation information.

"We are always looking for ways to provide easier access to real-time transit information for our riders and to improve their experience at our bus stops and rail platforms," Wes Kooistra, general manager at Metro Transit, said in the release. "These digital shelter displays support ongoing efforts in each of these important areas."

"It is of the utmost importance for us to support our partners in implementing advanced digital advertising technology, which helps cities reinvest advertising dollars back into transit systems to further engage transit riders and enhance the overall transit experience," Scott Goldsmith, president and COO at Intersection, said in the release.
