Shuttle Inc, a designer of small form-factor computers, will exhibit a 3x3 video wall video powered by the new single-slot Matrox C900 multi-display graphics card at COMPUTEX 2016 in Taipei, today through June 4, Nangang Exhibition Hall 1, booth L1017a, according to a company press release. The company said the card is the world's first single-slot card with nine 1920x1200 synchronized outputs, which offers simpler integration and lower cost of ownership.
Matrox C900 is a special-purpose graphics card designed to power 3x3 and 9x1 video walls. Its single-slot form factor and low power consumption at 75W offer digital signage and video wall vendors simpler integration and a lower cost of ownership, the release said. Its support for stretched desktop across all nine synchronized outputs lets users run any application full screen across a 3x3 video wall.
According to the company, the card is ideal for signage installations in retail, corporate, entertainment and hospitality environments as well as control room video wall solutions in security, process control and transportation. Matrox PowerDesk desktop management software for Windows is included with C900 to give users tools, including bezel management and EDID management, to configure and manage multi-display setups. Advanced APIs are available to developers and OEMs to build custom interfaces and applications.
Shuttle's XPC cube series is smaller than a normal tower PC but delivers the same performance with high durability and strong expandability, the release said. The latest SZ170R8 supports the sixth generation of Intel processors and provides an I/O interface in addition to PCI-E x16, PCI-E x4, M.2, and Mini PCIe slots for single-slot Matrox C900 graphics card, surveillance cards or RAID cards to drive video wall, file server, network video recorder and other applications.
It also can accept up to four 3.5-inch HDDs and support Intel Rapid Storage Technology, providing a variety of RAID mode selection. Equipped with Shuttle's Integrated Cooling Engine 2 cooling technology-configured four heat pipes thermal module and smart fan, the SZ170R8 is able to efficiently remove heat. It includes an 80 Plus Silver-certified 500W power supply for energy-efficient and stable long-term operation, according to the release.
