Maryland's largest independent family-owned car dealership has deployed digital signage to help educate its growing customer base, using Videotel Inc. industrial digital signage players, according to an announcement from Videotel.
The 12-dealership Criswell Automotive uses Videotel's HD2600, an industrial-grade auto play and auto looping HD DVD player designed for rugged use, and Videotel's VP71, an industrial-grade digital media player that auto powers on, auto loops and auto repeats content without menus, remotes or manual interaction. The VP71 supports RS232 with a communication-ready port, and its rugged design allows the VP71 to run for more than six years without failure, according to Videotel.
"Criswell Automotive has been using Videotel's commercial DVD and media players for over 10 years," Chris Faber, IT director for Criswell Automotive, said in the announcement. "Digital signage in the automotive retail industry is critical to advertising and brand awareness. Choosing hardware from Videotel has provided consistent performance and results. The newest addition of the VP71 media players has further enhanced ease-of-use, administration and longevity of these great devices."
