Planning a move to new headquarters in central London, RedCommerce needed to solve several ongoing challenges.
The global systems application products consultant wanted to improve its call center operations, utilize the new office’s spacious lobby to deliver company information to visitors and provide news and updates to employees in break areas and the company cafeteria.
Those objectives required wide distribution of screens throughout the building, but Red Commerce wanted to avoid a massive network cabling project and find a solution that did not require a dedicated computer behind every screen.
According to a case study, the company turned to Monitors Anywhere, which used VGA over LAN technology to connect a single host PC client to 12 screens positioned throughout the identified office sections through a local area network. An operational plan was put into place to broadcast content to each screen, and in less than five minutes, they began displaying the information to the company’s satisfaction, the case study said.
Monitors Anywhere's software solution, which leverages Windows' extended desktop mode functionality, actually allows organizations to deploy up to 20 monitors per PC, with full control of what is displayed on each.
With Monitors Anywhere's digital signage solution working smoothly in its head office, RedCommerce said, it now plans to install 24 screens in its European branches.
