KIO Displays intros new low-cost mini media player for digital signage

KIO Displays Inc. has introduced the DMP-3000, a low-cost, small-form-factor digital mediaplayer that the company said is ideal for mounting to the back of LCD displays and supports displaying video and images as well as playing audio.

According to the company's website, the Linux-based DMP-3000 supports full-HD 1080p display of video and image media, and connects to end-users' networks and supports the latest video technologies including H.264.

Content management and updates for the player are done via Web browser, the company said, and the player software is intended to be intuitive and easy to use to update current campaigns.
