Infax, Iinside install passenger motion analytics at Jackson-Medgar Evers Airport

July 25, 2019

Infax, an airport information solutions provider, has partnered with Iinside, an indoor motion analytics company, to install its LiDAR-based iQueue analytics at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport in Jackson, Mississippi. The system will provide automated operational intelligent on passenger wait times at TSA security checkpoints and deliver that information to digital signage and the airport's website, according to a press release.

Iinside's Motional Analytics Platform uses Infax's Quanergy LiDar to receive 3-D imaging data from invisible laser beams to gather information on passenger behavior and other operational metrics. This technology in turn offers predictions on security checkpoint wait times.

"Providing travelers with TSA security line updates is important to building a better passenger experience," Perry Miller, interim CEO of the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority, said in the release. "Travelers will now have up-to-the-minute security wait times made available through the airport’s website and on digital signage throughout the airport. It is by investing in these types of passenger enhancements that Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport has become the airport of choice for travelers."
