Chicago-based technology company Elevate Digital, whose SmartDigital-branded interactive outdoor kiosks can be found throughout the Windy City, announced earlier this week that it raised nearly $3 million in a round of investing led by Advantage Capital Partners, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The interactive digital signage kiosks feature touchscreens that let consumers interact with advertising, pull up visitor information, take pictures of themselves and even make purchases, such as daily deals though partner Groupon.
The investing round led by Advantage Capital Partners also drew participation from Chicago-based Metropolitan Capital Bank, and took in $2.7 million in funding.
