Embed Signage announces support for Smart Signage Platform Displays

Embed Signage, a cloud-based digital signage provider, has announced it now supports Samsung's fourth generation Smart Signage Platform Displays powered by Tizen. Users can now push content to Tizen SSSP displays, among other tasks, according to a press release.

This partnership is designed to help users push content to multiple digital signage deployments without a media player. The partnership also enables several features for clients, including:

• Remote firmware updates and display orientation adjustment;
• Enables better HTML content playback and CSS animation;
• Supports IPTV, HDMI and DVI;
• Remote device management such as rebooting and volume adjustment; and
• Enables multi-zone content, advanced scheduling and widgets.

"With SSSP 4.0 the HTML, CSS and Javascript performance improvements have opened up opportunities for us to create enhanced System on Chip content playback that was just not possible previously," Dan Cruickshank, head of SSSP development, Embed Signage, said in the release.
