DSF hosting 'meet and greet' in Minneapolis

August 29, 2013

The Digital Signage Federation, a nonprofit trade organization serving the digital signage industry, will host a regional networking "meet and greet" on Wednesday, Sept. 25, in Minneapolis, according to an announcement.

The event, sponsored by NEC Display Solutions, CastNET, Seneca Data and Peerless-AV, will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Gluek's Restaurant & Bar in downtown Minneapolis, and feature DSF Board member-at-large, Janna Rider, the director of digital merchandising for American Dairy Queen, as guest speaker. Rider will discuss the challenges her company overcame when implementing its digital signage network; why the investment in this technology works for American Dairy Queen; and which benefits of DSF membership she and her colleagues regularly reference as resources that they find most helpful, the announcement said.

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with the DSF Board of Directors, who will be in attendance to conversationally share their business experience, enumerate industry opportunity and discuss the benefits of membership in the DSF.

"The open dialog gives the DSF the opportunity to better support its members and welcome new members, but it has also led to positive discussion about establishing regional DSF Councils to help encourage networking and expand the Federation's educational outreach even further," Philip M. Cohen, 2013 DSF chairman and CEO and president of Care Media Holdings, said in the announcement.

The event costs $15 for members and $35 for non-members, which includes drinks and appetizers. Registration is available on the DSF website.
