DSE 2012: AT&T and Safeway to talk in-store tech at PRI Forum

Presenters from AT&T and Safeway will be featured during the upcoming Platt Retail Institute Retailer Education Forum in a session titled "Leveraging In-Store Technology," according to an announcement from PRI. The Forum will be held on March 6 from 12:30-5:30 p.m., in conjunction with Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas.

Presenters Tim Johnson, Retail Innovation, AT&T Mobility IT, and Dan Pryor, VP of Corporate Communications, Safeway, will share their experiences dealing with the challenges and opportunities of various in-store technologies during the session.

AT&T is continuously introducing new technologies in its stores. Johnson will discuss how these efforts are helping to improve the customer experience. Pryor will talk specifically about the implementation of a digital signage network in Safeway in-store pharmacies, including the history of the network and its current status.

Other sessions on the agenda for the Forum include:

  • "Intelligent Digital Signage Solutions in Retail"
  • "An Interactive Case Study"
  • "EU Retail Trends"
  • "Selling Digital Signage: Retail Media Channels"

The deadline for discounted early registration is Feb. 15. Retailers and other qualified end-users can register for a special discounted fee of $95. The fee for all other attendees is $195 for early registration, and $250 after Feb. 15. All early registrants will automatically be entered in a drawing for a Kindle Fire.
