DOOH campaign encourages travel to Scotland

Posterscope USA has teamed up with VisitScotland to attract travelers at Pennsylvania Station in New York City to Scotland. The company is using Link NYC displays near the station to promote travel to Edinburgh on United Airlines, according to a press release.

The campaign is designed to showcase the history and landscape of Scotland. Posterscope used its platform Liveposter to offer smart scheduling for the display to trigger one out of 32 messages to different audiences. During lunch, for example, the displays will show off local cuisine in Scotland.

"Understanding the mind set of our audiences in real-time is the cornerstone of our strategic thinking,” said David Gladding, associate director of digital creative, Posterscope USA. "We know that one-third of Americans search for 'last minute getaways' within three days before the date of travel, so this campaign digs into that experience-hungry, escapism mind set and uses data to tell us when and where messages conveying Scotland's beauty, appeal and romanticism would be most memorable and impactful."

The company also ran a separate campaign with two digital billboards, which display a live countdown of the next flight to Edinburgh.
