Montreal-based turnkey digital signage solution developer iGotcha Media recently announced the expansion of its iGotcha Golf Network through an alliance with SynergyScreens that adds clubs in Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick to the network.
And Canadian targeted lifestyle media firm Zoom Media Inc. recently announced its partnership with Golf Media, a golf advertising company in Quebec, that increases Zoom Media's product offering to include advertising boards on the driving ranges of nearly 34 outdoor and indoor golf courses across the province.
The iGotcha Golf Network uses the Web and large-format digital signage dispays to inform and entertain golfers with strategically positioned screens in club houses, pro shops, restaurants and other high-traffic areas. Web-based content is updated daily, including golf tips, golf trivia, news, weather, sports and advertising — both network-wide and club-specific. Entirely advertiser-supported, the iGotcha Golf Network represents zero cost to participating golf clubs, the company said.
This expansion of the iGotcha Golf Network was realized through a strategic alliance between iGotcha Media and SynergyScreens of Stratford, Prince Edward Island. Combining 30 golf clubs in Québec with 7 clubs in the Maritimes creates an extensive presence in eastern Canada and greater visibility for participating advertisers.
"Our alliance with SynergyScreens represents a major expansion of the iGotcha Golf Network," said Greg Adelstein, president of iGotcha Media. "We now have 64 digital screens in 37 golf clubs in four provinces. Advertising clients ... can expect to reach 2.5 million golfers this coming season."
Zoom Golf's national presence is now at close to 200 golf clubs, with 2,500 boards across 12 markets, according to Zoom Media Inc. Advertisers can access a range of products, from "Classic" and "Extra Lit" boards in the changing rooms and club houses to the company's new "Driving Range" boards.
"When Golf Media brought this offer to us, we knew it was a great opportunity to expand our Golf network," said Éric Fortin, vice-president of operations and development for Zoom Media. "Their driving range concept works perfectly with our indoor media opportunities. Advertisers can take advantage of the Golf network from April to November or, in some cases, all year long in our indoor courses."
