Medical cannabis technology company American Green Inc. is set to begin shipping its ID-verification and digital signage ad kiosks for use at the beginning of the new year in the first dozen locations, the company announced.

AGI announced that, after several months of field testing and upgrades including the integration of the Tomassi Intellectual Property, the machines, being produced by VE Global Vending, will begin shipping this month for use at the beginning of the new year in the first 12 locations in five states, some of which are taking multiple machines. The prototype machines at Herbal Elements and Doctors Orders also will be replaced.

The shipments follow 12 months of extensive investigation, new hardware configurations and custom software developments to meet unique end-user processes, internal controls and governmental regulations.

VE CONNECT smart vending machines are Internet-connected devices featuring interactive touchscreen displays, vending apps and digital signage capabilities, managed from the cloud.

Chris Goumas, senior VP for partnerships and new business development at VE Global Vending said in the announcement: "We're excited to create this solution and support American Green's strategic direction for developing and growing the ZaZZZ brand and vending machine program. Automating and integrating the entire purchase process for these dispensary locations took meticulous planning and will be a huge success."

VE Global Vending's Interactive Vending Platform, featuring VendOS, is a software platform enabling worldwide deployment of machines with customized user experiences, managed from one cloud-based portal with a capable content management system. Implementations of these types of units can include:

  • Products displayed in 3D, to virtually spin the item and read ingredients/allergens and product details;
  • Payment types including mobile apps, NFC, credit cards, cash;
  • Social media tie-ins, gifting, games, digital signage and advertisements in HD, Flash or still images, loyalty programs, sampling, promotions;
  • Mini-cameras for anonymous demographics to track visitor counts, dwell times, advertisement conversation rates, sales and even lost sales;
  • A variety of products ranging in size from a few ounces to up to 40 pounds per slot; and
  • Available data analytics by machine or across the network.
