Hundreds of digital billboards in Pennsylvania and surrounding states have joined the manhunt for the man accused of killing a Pennsylvania State Police officer and wounding another, according to LehighValleyLive.com.
The FBI activated the digital billboards in Pennsylvania and five other states in its manhunt for the accused, Eric Matthew Frein, 31, who is wanted in the killing of Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Bryon Dickson and wounding of another trooper Sept. 12 in Pike County, Pennsylvania, according to authorities.
The billboards feature a phone number for tips and two pictures of Frein, who has been added to the FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted list, according to the website:
The FBI is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to Frein's arrest.
The billboards are the result of a partnership between the FBI and the Outdoor Advertising Association of America. Since 2008, the OAAA has displayed "wanted" information on digital billboards in real time as investigations unfold, the association said.
Tips generated by digital billboards have resolved 53 FBI cases, according to the FBI.
The billboards featuring the Frein wanted poster have been activated in Connecticut, Delaware,Maryland, New Jersey, New York andPennsylvania, the article said.
