SAN ANTONIO — Visitors to the San Antonio International Airport, the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and the Alamodome will soon be informed and entertained with a dynamic new "Community Showcase" advertising program. Clear Channel Outdoor announced it has been selected to partner with these venues to create a high-tech display signage program that will enable businesses to reach a highly valuable demographic of millions of visitors and residents who utilize these expanding facilities annually.
"We are very pleased with the proposal submitted by Clear Channel Outdoor, which met our goal to create a world class display signage program," said Mark Webb, aviation director of San Antonio International Airport. "We look forward to embarking on this partnership and to the impressive welcome that the new community showcase advertising program will deliver."
Selected as a result of an Airport request for proposal, Clear Channel Outdoors' San Antonio Division and newest affiliate company, Interspace Airports are developing a benchmark program that will utilize modern technology to optimize advertising effectiveness while minimizing visual clutter. Specifically, the program will provide marketing strategies for local businesses, corporations, and attractions, and will largely expand visitor services — the aesthetic highlight of which will be a state-of-the-art digital information and advertising pathway connecting the venues, and featuring a framework that will be artfully constructed with a combination of stone, weathered copper, wood and glass.
