Cincinnati Reds deploys Just Add Power's Ultra HD over IP solution
The Cincinnati Reds recently installed Just Add Power's Ultra HD over IP video distribution system at its Great American Ball Park. The team can now distribute HD video to a variety of sources throughout the park, according to a press release.
Nor-Com, an integrator, installed the solutions at the park, which included 2G and 3G transmitters and receivers to offer HD tuners for game feed, scoreboard feed, Blu-ray players and PC inputs for presentation and digital signage.
Users can control and switch any source using an iPad. For example, a user can put every display into pre-game mode or send specific sources to one or multiple displays.
"Sports venues today are challenged with entertaining fans in and out of their seats and staying on the cutting edge," Taft Stricklin, sales team manager at J+P, said in the release. "The Reds are a perfect example of why we design our Ultra over IP system the way we do. With our modular approach to video distribution, the team was able to cost effectively build upon its existing infrastructure and keep pace with evolving video content requirements and standards that allow them to stand out from the crowd."
