Church from the 19th century installs digital signage

November 16, 2016

First Baptist Greenville, a Greenville, North Carolina, church founded in 1831 by William Bullein Johnson, the first president of the Southern Baptist Convention, has deployed digital signage. Mvix deployed its displays throughout the church, including the gym and rec center to display information on services, birthdays, anniversaries and other events, according to a press release.

The church required a solution that would be able to push out timely information and provide simple content management, such as smart playlists, scheduling, management from multiple users and reports. The church was also looking for a flexible and affordable solution. First Baptist Greenville believes Mvix's solution fits the bill.

"Mvix's solution is very user-friendly. The rich content apps and widgets and the ability to manage communications from one flexible platform, which is web-based and can be accessed from anywhere, appealed to us a lot," Booth Cothran, media and technology manager of First Baptist Greenville, said in the release. "The use cases are limitless. In fact, as the holiday season draws near, digital signage will be one of the key tools we'll use to enhance and reinforce our Christmas festivities."

Mvix also deployed displays in the church's gym and rec center to offer healthy tips and motivational quotes.
