Chicago Transit Authority to deploy 130 displays

April 13, 2017

The Chicago Transit Authority has partnered with Intersection to build a digital transit advertising network. The CTA plans to deploy 130 displays throughout the system for a total of more than 400 displays in the entire network, according to a press release.

Sixty of the displays will be deployed in the station and 70 will be placed in the street before customers enter. In addition to advertisements, the displays will also showcase train arrival times, emergency updates and service times.

"With hundreds of intelligent new displays and more than one million customers each day, this new digital network creates a platform for advertisers, brands and the CTA to deliver more tailored, engaging, and ultimately, more useful experiences to customers," Scott Goldsmith, president of cities and transit, Intersection, said in the release.
