The Queen Street shopping district in Cardiff, Wales, in the U.K. has deployed a new 6-square-meter (roughly 65-square foot) LED digital signage display featuring 10 millimeter Surface-Mount Device line spacing from Daktronics Inc. of Brookings, South Dakota, according to an announcement from the LED signage provider. Launched on March 31, the billboard is part of out-of-home media owner blowUP media's Super Motion network, the announcement said.

"The new Queen Street site is a first for the OOH industry in the center of Cardiff," blowUP media CEO Katrin Robertson said in the announcement. "It is a clear demonstration that our growing Super Motion digital network can enhance city center environments as well as introduce valuable commercial investment."

BlowUP media's Super Motion digital screens network also reaches into Europe including the recently-unveiled "The WOW" in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. "The WOW" is a 170-square-meter, 16-millimeter line spacing Daktronics display that had Unilever as its official launch partner.
