BrightSign has announced its BSN.cloud player management platform, powered by BrightSign OS 8.0, a digital signage operating system. The platform consists of three parts: Control Cloud; Management Cloud and Content Cloud, according to a press release.
Customers can use the Control Cloud's B-Deploy feature to configure players remotely, which helps reduce installation times. For smaller deployments, end users can simply use a QR code on the display to set up the media player via mobile phone. The Control Cloud also offers real-time health information for the player and can adjust configurations and update OS in real time remotely.
The Management Cloud provides a variety of network management tools for the end user. It can collect data about performance measures, health and other issues. It can also push important information to end users such as error reporting.
The Content Cloud offers a media library, content feeds, schedules, presentation management and content distribution tools to act as a simple content management system or integrate with existing content management systems.
BrightSign has partnered with key digital signage players such as Diversified, Four Winds Interactive, Mvix and others to integrate its BSN.cloud service into their software offerings using APIs.
"As it becomes increasingly common and more desirable to connect all kinds of devices to the cloud, digital signage for the vast majority will exist as connected networks," Jeff Hastings, CEO, BrightSign, said in the release. "BSN.cloud is a robust player-management platform intended to provide secure and scalable networking options for end-users, integrators, network managers and DOOH operators."
The Content Control feature is included with Series 2 4K, Series 3 and Series 4 players, available in Q2 when customers upgrade to BrightSign OS 8.0, and the Management and Content Clouds are available for additional annual fees.
BrightSign is the global market leader in digital signage media players, offering the most reliable, secure and sophisticated solid-state media players on the market today.
