BrightSign recently delivered media players for Tattersalls auction houses, a horse auctioneer based in Newmarket, England, with another location in Ratoath, County Meath, Ireland and two in Ascot and Cheltenham, England. Tattersalls recently replaced its 20-year old LED displays at its locations with signage from Spectra Displays and players from BrightSign, according to a press release.
Spectra provided 5-by-3-meter LED displays at the Newmarket and Ratoath locations.
"BrightSign players saved us a huge amount of work," Richard Handley, manager at Spectra Displays, said in the release. "We were faced with either writing a bespoke PC application or finding a player that allowed for more interactive features. Other players could trigger input but would not enable a user to write their own script without creating an HTML5 webpage."
The BrightSign players also provide bid information overlays for additional LCD screens inside the auction houses, alongside drag-and-drop capabilities so Tattersalls can change digital signage templates.
BrightSign is the global market leader in digital signage media players, offering the most reliable, secure and sophisticated solid-state media players on the market today.
