Big East welcomes Memphis with Times Square digital signage

According to the Facebook page of the Big East Conference of the NCAA, the collegiate athletics conference welcomed its newest member on huge digital signage displays in New York's Times Square, courtesy of retailer American Eagle Outfitters.

The Big East posted the accompanying (possibly Photoshopped) image of the displays welcoming the University of Memphis to its ranks, similar to the welcome it gave to the U.S. Naval Academy when it joined the conference for football:

One Facebook poster said she stood in front of the American Eagle displays for "around 30 minutes" today, but did not see the Memphis-themed content, to which the Big East Facebook page admin replied that the content "only runs for 30 seconds of every hour — we're sorry you missed it."
