Rorke Global Solutions, a business unit of the Avnet Embedded division of Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, a business region of Avnet Inc., announced today it is expanding its Paladin product line to include a new digital signage media player developed around Intel Core architecture and the newly announced Intel Retail Client Manager content management software platform.
The Paladin digital signage media player is available today and is the first in a series of digital media products from Rorke Global Solutions that will be released in coming months, the company said. It is intended to be ideal for use in retail outlets, information points (such as kiosks and stadium signage), or waiting areas (such as in medical facilities or transportation depots). It comes with a fully integrated content management system, optimized for the Intel Core processor family. Rorke Global Solutions is offering customization, installation and integration services today, and will deliver hosting and call center support for the Paladin product line within the next month.
"Companies are looking for a full-service solution provider to maximize their return on investment from digital signage deployment[s]," said Chuck Kostalnick, senior vice president of Avnet Embedded. "Having optimized Intel RCM content management software in the Paladin media player enables our customers to expand their digital signage options to fully leverage the powerful Intel CoreTM processor family. We're enabling a new generation of signage."
"By pairing Intel RCM with Rorke Global Solutions' Paladin digital signage media player, retailers and small businesses get a fully integrated digital signage solution to reach their customers with personalized, relevant content near the point-of-sale," said Joe Jensen, general manager of Intel's Retail Solutions Division. "Using the Intel RCM software, users can launch attention-grabbing campaigns with ease across multiple touchpoints, ensuring they are reaching the right customer, at the right time, with the right product."
