AirDroid Business intros kiosk mode for Android digital signage

AirDroid Business, a mobile device management solutions provider, has introduced a kiosk mode to its main MDM solution. With this feature, users can turn any Android mobile device into a kiosk to deliver digital signage advertisements, according to a press release.

Users can manage the content remotely from the AirDroid Business admin control center, and they can also define which functions can be accessible or hidden from guests or visitors such as display brightness, volume and Wi-Fi. Other features include:

• Application whitelist which only displays approved apps in kiosk mode.
• Owners can switch between custom brand profiles.
• Can toggle devices on and off of kiosk mode.

"We've worked on removing the need for businesses to invest large amounts of capital to integrate digital kiosks, like ad signage, interactive ordering kiosks and information stations, into their business operations," Anson Shiong, CEO of Sand Studio, developers of AirDroid Business, said in the release. "Now, AirDroid Business users have the ability to turn any Android mobile device, like a tablet, within their network into a digital kiosk or billboard."
