CV28A LEDs from Cree LED are a second-generation RGB SMD LED with advanced single-lens optics, delivering higher nits, improved efficiency and precise light control for outdoor video screens and billboards. Featuring a new, patented lens design, the CV28A LED is the first solution engineered to unify product design across all LED billboard pixel pitches.
Only the new CV28A SMD LED can easily match the performance of P2 through-hole LEDs for larger pitches and improve the visual impact of today’s SMD LEDs for smaller pitches – all in a Resilient-Rated, high-reliability package. Cree LED remains dedicated to delivering leading-edge technology for digital signs that lowers costs, improves efficiency and optimizes the visual experience for the viewer.

It delivers 2x nits of standard SMD signage LEDs without losing color over angle. CV28A delivers the same intensity as through-hole LEDs, but with the simplicity of SMD assembly.
