Webinar to focus on new video communications tools
Digital signage, desktop video and enterprise TV will be discussed on Feb. 10 as solutions to improve messaging, save money.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — As the status of the American economy is changing, so is the landscape of the video communications industry. At one time, offices communicated through memos in mailboxes. Retailers relied on paper signs and easels shipped quarterly to let shoppers know about sales. Unfortunately, many of those memos became lost and unread, and only about half of those paper signs went up in the stores.

In this economic recession, people are not only looking for a way to bridge that communication gap, but to save money while doing so.
Digital Signage Today will tackle this topic in a webinar entitled "Digital Signage, More Important than Ever in an Uncertain Economy," held on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 2 P.M. The webinar will focus on three tools for video communication — digital signage, desktop video and enterprise TV — and how they can benefit companies looking to create or upgrade a communications system.
Speaking during the webinar will be Lyle Bunn, an advisor, commentator and educator to investors, operators, suppliers and users of digital signage and digital out-of-home media. As creator of SPEED digital signage training program, Bunn will discuss the business cost savings of using digital signage and best practices for implementing the technology in corporate offices, financial institutions, healthcare facilities and other locations.
"Particularly in corporate communications settings, these types of video tools work to level the ground between executives and employees and allow for better message transfer in those offices," Bunn said.
Also speaking will be Thomas Wyatt, vice president and general manager of the Digital Media Systems Business Unit at Cisco Systems. Wyatt will discuss specific features and applications for the video communications tools, as well as present some real-world case studies of successful deployments with Coca-Cola, Lloyd's of London and the College of Southern Nevada.
The session will be hosted by Bill Yackey, editor of Digital Signage Today. Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity to submit questions via instant message for the participants.
