Digital signage made a splash at this year's show, with vibrant displays and high-def LED signs dotting the show floor.
June 18, 2013
At this year's InfoComm A/V trade show in Orlando, Fla., digital signage took over the show floor.
While digital signage solution providers had displays, content and hardware galore, even non-digital signage companies were making good use of the technology to showcase their wares — all of which made for great pictures of the technology in action.
Technology distributor Almo Professional A/V even set up its booth as a kind of art gallery, with digital signage as the art on display.
While we concentrated on the digital signage providers, the pictures in our slideshows showcase some of the significant trends in this dynamic medium. (We took so many, in fact, that we had to break it up into two photo galleries.)
Display providers such as NEC Display Solutions of America had a major presence on the show floor, with some of the biggest and most impressive pavilions outside of the gigantic Crestron Electronics showcase.
And this year's crop of LED displays impressed with their incredible range of high-definition and 4K ultra high definition capabilities, such as this one from from Shenzhen AOTO Electronics.
