Sharp Business Systems & NoviSign Brings Interactive Digital Wayfinding to the New Mexico State Capitol

NoviSign Digital Signage, a leading digital signage software provider, today announced that the New Mexico State Capitol has adopted its cloud-based digital signage platform to modernize wayfinding throughout the historic building.
Known as the Roundhouse, the New Mexico State Capitol is the only circular state capitol in the country. That distinctive architecture is a point of civic pride, but it also creates a genuine challenge: with no clear front or back, visitors, staff, and lawmakers have long struggled to find their way between offices, chambers, galleries, and public spaces across four floors.
Working with trusted technology partner Sharp, the Capitol replaced its aging printed directory system with a self-managed NoviSign digital wayfinding solution. Sharp facilitated the sale and coordinated the deployment. NoviSign delivered a professionally designed, out-of-the-box experience that Capitol staff can now update entirely on their own.
The deployment centers on touchscreen wayfinding kiosks at the building's main entrances and digital directories on six floors, all managed through a single cloud platform. From one home screen, visitors can search a complete building directory, follow turn-by-turn wayfinding routes across more than 200 mapped endpoints, explore the history and layout of the Capitol, and browse a rotating art collection spanning more than 600 local artists.
Before going digital, the Capitol relied on printed signage that required specialty paper stock and carried high recurring costs. Every room change, event update, or office move meant reprinting and physically reinstalling signs. With NoviSign, Capitol staff now log in and apply updates themselves in seconds, without contacting Sharp, NoviSign, or outside IT support.
