Westchester Library System adds digital signage network

July 13, 2012

Video Marketing Systems, a reseller of Gallery digital signage solutions, announced it has taken first steps in deploying a system-wide digital signage, narrow cast network for the Westchester (New York) Library System. The Gallery Enterprise signage display system will deliver content to any member library in the Westchester Library System, the company said.

The Gallery system will enable the member libraries to provide content and media, and unify communications, to library patrons. Displays are currently installed at the Field Library in Peekskill and the Larchmont Public Library. The New Rochelle Public Library and North Castle Public Library are in the early stages of system implementation.

This system will enable the Westchester Library System and member libraries to reach 400,000 card users with a unified voice, according to VMS.

"The Gallery system will permit the member libraries to publicize all the wonderful programs and services available to the public," said Dr. Terry Kirchner, executive director of the Westchester Library System, in the announcement.

Video Marketing Systems president Bernie Feuer said, "We are proud and honored that our Gallery digital signage will be located throughout the member libraries of the Westchester Library System and will help present all that the member libraries offer to the residents of Westchester County."
