Watchfire Signs has officially shipped out the rest of its digital signage modules for the renovation of the Fremont Street Experience digital canopy in Las Vegas. This 1,500-foot long display is suspended 90-foot above a pedestrian mall, according to a press release.

With this update, the display will be seven times brighter and four times sharper than the original display for better viewing during daylight hours. In addition, the modules come with perforations to let daylight filter through and air circulate, which helps disperse heat and illuminate the street below.

For the project, Watchfire used more than 67,000 modules consisting of 49 million LEDS and installed them in subframes containing 64 modules each, according to the release.

"We had to get very creative to develop a unique product that met all the distinctive needs for Fremont Street, including trimmable modules that fit the canopy’s shape and can handle the extreme desert conditions," Steve Harriott, president and CEO of Watchfire Signs, said in the release. "Interest in this product has been very high and we’re looking forward to using it for other projects."
