Volta, an electric vehicle-charging network provider, has recently launched the Volta Response System, which enables city officials and first responders to amplify public safety announcements on the charger's displays.
Volta operates more than 1,100 electric vehicle charging stations in places such as Walgreens, Safeway and Target. It also generates millions of daily impressions with content on the displays.
"I asked our team for ideas on how we could help flatten the curve, and within days we had the Volta Response System up and running," Scott Mercer, founder and CEO, Volta, said in the release. "Eighty percent of Volta's charging stations are by an essential service, which means they are perfect for distributing critical information to the community-at-large, reaching residents where they stock up on food, medicine and supplies."
