Visual Art appoints Pontus Meijer as CEO

Visual Art has appointed Pontus Meijer as CEO. The digital signage company dominates Nordic markets and makes this shift as it expands into Europe, and Meijer's mission is to maintain its strong presence in Sweden while expanding European market share, according to a press release.
"It is of course very flattering to receive this trust. We have increased turnover by 200% and opened offices in six new markets in the last three years," Meijer said in the press release. "More and more companies are beginning to understand how digital communication channels can support their sales, brand experience and also operational efficiency."
Meijer credits the company's success to its integrated portfolio of content management and deployment systems.
"It has been an incredible journey, but we have known for a long time that we need a more permanent solution for the CEO position. Handing over to Pontus feels very good and he is perfect to lead the next phase for Visual Art," Anders Apelgren, Meijer's predecessor who will stay on with the company as CTO, said in the release.
