Vistar Media and Place Exchange, two pDOOH solutions providers, have announced they are making their mediation solutions mutually compatible to streamline media auctions for customers across their systems, according to a press release.
The mediation layer provides impartial auctioning and selects the highest price from top bids across the connected systems, which also allows customers to use a single supply side platform to conduct pDOOH ad buys instead of having to navigate multiple supply side systems.
"While healthy competition can drive our industry forward, ultimately the needs of our customers come first, and in this case cooperation is the only responsible move to deliver value to media owners," Eric Lamb, SVP of supply at Vistar Media, said in the release. "Creating a unified auction is critical to unlocking programmatic's ability to increase rates through competition, and all of our mutual customers will benefit."
