Visix Inc., provider of browser-based digital signage products, will premiere the latest version of its AxisTV digital signage software at InfoComm 2015 in Orlando, according to a company announcement. Version 9.2 of the company's flagship content management software includes a variety of new options for live data integration and improved user experience tools, the company said.

"Version 9.2 concentrates on data integration so our clients can exploit the tools they're already using," Visix President and CEO Sean Matthews said in the announcement. "In addition to building a new suite of supporting apps, we're evolving our CMS by adding even more functionality and features — all of which are the direct result of customer feedback. Our clients continue to drive our development, and we're happy to deliver on those requests to improve their day-to-day experience with our products."

The AxisTV CMS is supported by a growing suite of Windows apps based on a new platform the company said it will continue to evolve over the next 12 months.

The latest release includes a fast-loading dashboard that includes player snapshots with green/red glow to indicate player status; current software version and licensing information; quick links to common features; the top five content contributors and top five most populated playlists. Version 9.2 also improves video handling with a large file uploader now built into the Web interface and a selectable video handler that allows clients to choose playback options. The release also includes an improved news subscription service and three new data integration options: Excel, XML and SharePoint. The software's Web Page Message feature now supports SharePoint 2013, so clients can show their secure SharePoint pages, like dashboards and project timelines, as messages in digital signage playlists.

AxisTV users can also now import XML and Excel data directly into digital signage messages, making it easier for customers to map to dynamic data that is relevant to their organization.

"Our clients can now bring engaging content to their screens more easily, while pulling from applications they're already comfortable with," Visix Chief Sales Officer Trey Hicks said. "By mapping to Excel spreadsheets or XML data, customers can more readily share department statistics, production data, directory information, and even create menu boards. There are lots of possible applications, and these enhancements make it much easier for customers to leverage their data."

AxisTV Design premiered at last year's show, but InfoComm 2015 will be the first time that attendees can see a live demo of the new Layout Editor in the desktop designer app. It will also be the InfoComm premier of the Conference event integration application, an essential component of the company's room sign and schedule display offering.
