Visix intros version 3.8 of meeting room solution

Visix Inc. has unveiled version 3.8 of its Connect meeting room sign, featuring better UI workflow, administrative controls and design enhancements. The Connect solution allows bidirectional booking Microsoft Exhange and Office 365, EMS Platform Services, Google Calendars and Live25 by CollegeNet, and it comes with an interactive touchscreen to allow users to book, start, extend and cancel meetings, according to a press release.

With this update, administrators can now configure whether private meeting details are shown publicly or hidden. Other features include:

• Location field to allow users to describe the location of a meeting room.
• Find Available Rooms option so users can lookup other available rooms on displays.
• Device monitoring and alarms.
• Remote rebooting and upgrading.

"We've already provided robust playback and space utilization tracking, and now we’re concentrating on making the IT admin easier for our clients," Trey Hicks, chief sales officer for Visix, said in the release. "This new release has a lot of configuration and monitoring tools that come directly from customer requests, and that’s important. We don't want our technology to drive our clients, we want their needs to drive our tech. It's all about helping people communicate better."
