UTC Climate, Controls, Security inks acquisition of S2 Security

UTC Climate, Controls and Security, a security and safety company, recently acquired S2 Security, a provider of access control, digital signage and video surveillance. The company will combine S2 Security with its other subsidiary, Lenel, to create LenelS2, according to a press release.

LenelS2 will offer solutions in the access control and security management systems industry. Jeff Stanek, president, Lenel, will lead Lenel S2 and John Moss, CEO and founder, S2 Security, will serve as the chief product officer, according to the release.

"LenelS2 unites two world-class teams with complementary strengths," Alex Housten, vice president and general manager, fire and security products, UTC Climate, Controls & Security, said in the release. "Together, we have more than 50,000 systems installed worldwide. We look forward to providing enhanced service capabilities and offerings for our customers, and accelerating our access control and video-centric solutions for intelligent buildings across the globe."
