According to sports website Rivals.com, the digital signage installed in the University of Oregon's newly-built Matthew Knight Arena basketball facility created a "headache-inducing glare" on the floor of the arena for TV viewers.
The digital-ribbon board lining the arena's upper level created a "blinding reflection," according to Rivals.com:
"Add in the fact that the ribbon board changed color from white to yellow to green to blue every few seconds, and it made watching the game feel like staring into a strobe light."
