UK OOH impressions up, despite coronavirus

May 11, 2020

Despite lockdown measures still in place in the U.K., traffic rose by 4% in the country in the week of April 20 to 26, according to data from Ada, Talon's OOH data management platform. Public transit also saw a 2% boost, according to a press release.

Ada analyzes billions of anonymized data reports and delivers on population movement and behaviors for OOH advertisers.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about significant change to the way people live their lives. Ada shows an uptick in mobility across the board for the week ending 26th April despite U.K. lockdown measures," Sophie Pemberton, strategy director, Talon, said in the release. "This could be attributed to several factors including great weather, to the anticipated relaxing of restrictions, plus there are a growing number of businesses that have resumed trading."
