Topaz intros new series of digital signage displays with integrated media player

October 2, 2013

TOPAZ Digital has launched its all-new SL Series displays designed to deliver "true out-of-the-box" networked digital signage at an affordable price point, according to an announcement today.

The company said the new SL Series displays hew to the brand value of delivering "design-led" digital signage and provides value-added functionality with the inclusion of an integrated network media player and access to the company's cloud-based content management system. Also, the company said, there are no recurring costs associated with the solution. Once purchased, the solution includes lifetime access to the cloud-based CMS, according to the announcement.

The displays connect to a Wi-Fi or Ethernet port to connect to the TOPAZ Digital CMS software, allowing the remote management and scheduling of content to play across a network of displays, the company said.

The SL Series is available in a full range of sizes including 19, 22, 32, 42 and 55 inches.

John Wheating, president of TOPAZ Digital North America, said in the announcement that "resellers and end-user customers alike are excited about the new TOPAZ Digital SL Series. Traditionally they look at buying displays from one vendor, media players from another and software from yet a third company. On top of that, the end-user customer is charged a monthly fee to use the software."

Inventory of the TOPAZ Digital SL Series will arrive in November, the company said.
