TOPAZ Digital today announced that it has strengthened its SL range of displays by harnessing the power of Android.
According to the company, the displays still benefit from the same looks as the standard SL screens, which are designed to draw maximum attention to users' message by creating "advertising furniture" that complements the aesthetics of a venue rather than resembling a TV, but the Android-powered range also feature a range of enhanced functions.
The new display board enables users to display more complex layouts and even harness live HTML pages, the company said. Through the familiar Android OS, setup and configuration time is much quicker, TOPAZ said, and users now can connect a wireless keyboard to the display for set up. If deploying in an area with no Wi-Fi, users also can now operate via 3G connectivity for a small surcharge.
Through the extra power the Android-based screens provide, the company said it has introduced additional new features on the CMS software only available for use with the Android SL range.
With sizes from 32 to 55 inches, all screens are powered through the TOPAZ CMS platform enabling users to control them from anywhere in the world, the company said. Stocks are available in all sizes and in all markets and available for immediate shipment, according to the announcement.
