Ametek Electronics Systems Protection expands line of uninterruptible power supply systems

June 13, 2017

Ametek Electronics Systems Protection has expanded its line of uninterruptible power supply systems for mission critical systems. The line is now available in 10,000, 15,000 and 20,000 volt amps, according to a press release.

The models are designed with double conversion technology and an integrated isolation transformer to continue receiving isolated or regenerated power if the main power from a utility or generator is dirty, unstable or lost. Users can also examine the load, run time and system health of the system via IP, closures and RS 232.

"Generators are not a replacement for the grid. If an installation calls for a backup generator, our new large-format UPS solutions serve as a bridge between the service being supplied by the utility and power from the generator by keeping the entire system online until the alternative source is able to supply ongoing power," Rick Komendera, manager of sales, Ametek, said in the release. "Installed between the generator and the AV system, our large format UPS solutions completely isolate and regenerate the AC output to ensure availability of the connected gear."
