Streetbroadcast lands U.K. outdoor digital signage deal

LEEDS, England Streetbroadcast has announced that is has won an exclusive 15-year advertising agreement for outdoor digital signage across Leeds. The contract is estimated to be worth 70 million pounds over the term. The contract win was awarded last week after a full tender took place last year.
 
The contract is the largest Streetbroadcast has signed since incorporation in 2001 and the win now gives it a total of 27 local authority contracts around the U.K. together.
 
The company's round digital signage displays, called StreetLive, already has been installed across five cities in the U.K. including Glasgow, Liverpool, Coventry, Manchester, Birmingham and The MetroCentre in Gateshead.
 
Leeds is the third largest city in the U.K. with a population of 720,000, and now also is considered to be the most popular student destination and holds a large financial industry base.
 
"Leeds is a key city and clients will now be better able than ever to reach this important audience with our outstanding communication," said Mungo Knott, managing director of U.K. sales at Streetbroadcast.
