Stratacache, a digital signage provider, has launched its virtual reality shopping solution, designed by its subsidiary Scala Professional Services at the National Retail Federation's Big Show & Expo in New York City. The solution uses NVIDIA Holodeck and digital signage to deliver simulated VR environments for retailers, according to a press release.
Stratacache built the solution for use in small devices such as kiosks with a headshot or larger VR theaters. End users can also use the solution to analyze data in 3-D, such as foot traffic data, according to the release.
"Whether for design or purchasing decisions, immersive VR is being successfully adopted by many industries," David Weinstein, director of virtual reality at NVIDIA, said in the release. "By incorporating NVIDIA Holodeck's collaborative and photo-real environment into their solution, Stratacache will enable retailers to personalize the customer experience while improving operations."
