Sony Electronics has released SDK 2.4.0, an update for its Spatial Reality Display system that includes multi-display support, according to a press release.
Sony's SRD is used for 3D content creation and display, and the multi-display support update targets use cases such as digital signage, museums and exhibitions.
The SDK 2.4.0 update also includes viewer log functionality and extended development platform compatibility features aimed at major platforms such as Unreal Engine 5.4, Unity Plugin DX12 and Extended OpenXR.
Sony also announced that its upcoming Firmware Version 1.30.00 at the end of November 2024 for the ELF-SR2 model will include improved facial recognition capabilities, expanded color gamut support (DCI-P3 and Rec.2020 compatibility) and side-by-side stereoscopic 3D viewing.
