Signagelive, global supplier of a cloud-based digital signage platform, is showcasing at this year's Integrated Systems Europe show how the integration of its system-on-chip and HTML5 software with a range of third-party Web-triggering solutions can harness the power of mobile and Internet technologies to enrich digital signage, the company announced today.

The full potential of these latest enhancements will be showcased through a series of real-world user scenarios, the company said, including quick serve restaurants and retail and corporate communications at Integrated Systems Europe, Feb. 9-12 in Amsterdam, according to the announcement.

Signagelive said it also will have a presence on a number of partner stands, including Samsung and LG Electronics.

Requiring nothing more than an Internet connection, existing Signagelive users will be able to incorporate contextual and responsive applications, such as live TV triggers, emergency messaging or assistive point-of-sale services to their existing digital signage content, transforming their static smart signage networks into interactive marketing tools, the company said.

Signagelive's HTML5 software is designed to be fully compatible with all major smart signage offerings, including the Samsung Smart Signage Platform, LG webOS and Google Chrome, and it has been widely deployed across all verticals, including retail, QSR and hospitality, the announcement said.

By taking advantage of Signagelive's Web-triggering capabilities, for instance, quick service restaurant owners could enhance the overall dining experience and encourage brand loyalty by enabling diners to interact with digital menu boards and place orders using their smartphones, according to the announcement. No onsite servers are needed to store content and all static and interactive digital signage applications can be managed centrally using Signagelive's enterprise-grade management interface.

Signagelive's SoC software, written in HTML5 for cross platform functionality, is designed to provide full support for different content formats including static images, HD video, Web pages, IPTV, multizoning for different media types, image layering, RSS feeds, portrait support and screen on and off control. It also comprises optional proof of content and delivery functionality for better network and campaign management.

"Digital signage, wireless and IoT technologies are merging, and we are seeing the development of innovative smartphone apps as a result," CEO Jason Cremins said in the announcement. "As digital signage networks become more sophisticated, system users want the ability to manage all services from a single point, and our cloud-based platform facilitates this via a secure cloud-based interface."
