GableSigns, the Baltimore-based provider of digital displays, signs and architectural elements, announced recently that it has rebranded and will begin operating under the name Gable, a visual solutions company, effective immediately.
The company said its original name, GableSigns, no longer best represents the company Gable is today. As clients' needs have changed and new technologies have emerged, Gable has become a digital technology company that works with clients throughout the U.S. on projects such as the Cobo Center in Detroit, Simon Property Group's projects from New York to California, Tampa International Airport in Florida, Georgia Convention Center in Atlanta, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Macy's in Herald Square in New York City, JACK Entertainment throughout the Midwest, Verizon Destination Stores in the US and UNIQLO locations in the US.
Technology is not the only driving force behind Gable's growth, the company said. Its ability to help its clients attract, connect and engage people through effective visual solutions in the built world, has gained the trust of Fortune 500 companies and large, global brands like Starbucks, the United States Postal Service and Universal Studios, it said. Companies in industries such as national retail, real estate development, convention centers, entertainment and higher education also rely on Gable for its national and global capabilities, which currently include a worldwide rebranding program that is shipping to 37 countries, according to the announcement.
"Our new direction is simple and clear," said Paul Gable, founder and CEO of Gable. "We're combining our 36 years of creativity and craftsmanship in the traditional sign industry with the new era of advanced digital technology and visual communications for the built world."
The company said its new look establishes the company's new vision for the visual communications industry, and emphasizes its goal of providing world-class visual solutions through digital signage displays, media and audiovisual; signs and architectural elements; and LED lighting systems. Additionally, Gable offers design, engineering, fabrication, implementation, service and support to its customers.
The rebrand brings all of the company's products and services together under one brand as Gable, a visual solutions company. With its new brand, Gable said it is best positioned to communicate its value as a consultative partner that provides comprehensive capabilities, a culture of creativity and forward thinking.
Gable was founded in 1980 by Paul Gable and has delivered visual solutions for more than three decades, growing into a technology company under its original name, GableSigns. In recent years, the company introduced brands for its digital display (under the name GableVision) and energy-efficient lighting offerings.
"Digital displays, AV, media, signs and lighting solutions. They are often viewed as separate industries; we consider them inseparable." Gable said. "This change is a logical step in our growth and gives us an umbrella under which we can grow in the visual communications industry. We have grown beyond the traditional signage company we started as. This rebranding represents an important step to better communicate our value proposition."
