The Waikiki Shopping Plaza Teams has tapped Red Dot Digital Media, a specialty integrator in the digital signage industry, to deploy an interactive wayfinding solution as well as the design and installation of a network of four double-sided digital kiosk displays.
The four double-sided portrait kiosks are equipped with 65-inch commercial displays.
The displays promote newly opened restaurants and will improve visitor navigation throughout the plaza, according to a press release.
Installed in high-traffic areas of the plaza, the kiosks serve as central information hubs, combining dynamic restaurant promotion with intuitive mapping to enhance the overall guest experience.
Traditional static signage lacked the flexibility to showcase multiple venues, highlight rotating promotions and provide real-time orientation within the plaza.
"The most meaningful projects are the ones that truly elevate how people experience a space. These kiosks don't just promote restaurants, they encourage discovery and remove friction for shoppers navigating the plaza," Darryl Kuder, CEO of Red Dot Digital Media, said in the release. "Just as important, we designed the system to be easy for the plaza team to manage and simple for us to support long-term. Delivering a solution that enhances the guest experience while remaining practical, serviceable and cost-effective makes this project especially rewarding for our team."
"Working with Red Dot was a fantastic experience. Darryl and his team were highly professional, and the project was executed precisely as planned," Michelle Look, real estate manager at Waikiki Shopping Plaza, said in the release. "The digital kiosks are sleek and visually striking, and the software interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, with customizable features that perfectly support the needs of our shopping plaza now and into the future."
Red Dot managed the project end-to-end, including system design, hardware selection, installation and software configuration.
