Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America, a division of Sharp Electronics Corp., has announced its 4K Windows collaboration display with Microsoft's Skype for Business certification. This 70-inch interactive display also features Sharp's Pen-on-Paper experience, a 10-point P-CAP capacitive touch solution that creates the feeling of using a real pen on paper, according to a press release.
The display comes with built-in sensors that can connect directly to the Microsoft Azure Digital Twins IoT platform and other cloud and subscription services. End users can use data from the Azure platform to improve the heating, cooling and room booking systems based on how the space is used.
The display also features USB-C connectivity to power a single connection as well as a far field microphone and speakers for collaboration.
"Sharp is proud to be enabling the next-generation of collaborative working and team productivity with the world's first Windows collaboration display," Bob Madaio, VP, marketing, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America, said in the release. "Not only can you simply walk in, plug in and work together, but it also monitors your environment and can help to make those conditions optimal. A display is the ideal device to become more intelligent. It's the centerpiece of the meeting room and your window to the rest of your team and the rest of the world."
